14 May, 2004 Adventure Cup 2004, 9th round: Bekaert - Puma FF, Sweden 3-2 (3-0).
We're through to the next round! Bekaert once again beat the team that every "expert" thought should win, and the numbers show how close it was. Lino Tello was fresh again after the injury he got in last cup game, and scored all three Bekaert goals, the first after only 5 minutes.
Bekaert had the grip of the game until Puma reduced the Bekaert lead in the 68th minute, and suddenly Puma FF took control of the midfield, and could literally feed their attackers with scoring chances. Eric Holmberg did a good game, but was forced to give in when second Puma goal came in the 84th minute. However, Bekaert could ride the storm out, even though Lino Tello missed a penalty on extra time.
Now, only 32 teams are left in the cup! Bekaert will meet Swedish 4th division team Roehampton City FC away this Monday. Another tough game where Bekaert can be underdogs...

12 May, 2004 Adventure Cup 2004, 8th round: Bekaert - Raprerzy Nowy Sacz, Poland 3-1 (0-1).
Polish team Raprezy draw the biggest crowd ever in a cupgame at Holy Roller. 952 spectators paid to see what they thought to be Bekaerts last game in the Adventure Cup. Bekaert started best but Raprezy soon got the upper hand, and scored the leading goal after 22 minutes.
Joel Amor equalized after 39 minutes on a free kick just outside the penalty box, and Paul Bolander gave Bekaert the lead just before the half time whistle.
In the second half, Bekaert continued to attack through out the match, and Lino Tello settled the game in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, Lino was brutally attacked by Raprezy's Lluques on overtime, and had to be carried out on a stretcher. Lino will be away for the next two days, and it is unclear if he will be ok for the next round of the cup, scheduled to Friday.
The draw for the 9th round is not yet done.

10 May, 2004 Adventure Cup 2004, 7th round: Limping Dudes FC, Sweden - Bekaert 1-2 (1-0).
Paul Bolander scored the equalizer in the 83rd minute, and then scored again with a great shot in the extra time, ending the game. Limping Dudes took the lead on a free kick after only 3 minutes, and when the referee called for a Limping Dudes penalty in the 10th minute, the game seemed lost. But the penalty shot was well wide, and Bekaert could struggle theirselves into the game.
Only 128 teams remains, and it starts to get tough. Bekaert will host the next game on Wednesday, travelling to Holy Roller is Polish div 1 team, Raprerzy Nowy Sacz. Raprerzy is currently ranked 39 in the world, and 5 in Poland. As a comparison, Bekaert is ranked 1433 in the world...

League div 5.139, round 2: Bekaert - Lidingö Hills 11-1 (4-1)
8815 spectators went home happy since Bekaert showed the world why Bekaert ought to play in a higher division. Lino Tello, 7 goals tonight, and Paul Bolander (4 goals) humiliated Lindingö's goalkeeper again and again, who only could save four shots during the game. 7 goals in a game is a new record for Lino Tello.
This is the tied second biggest win for Bekaert IF FF. 4th April this year Bekaert beat Svanesund 10-0, and the biggest so far is the home victory in September 2002 against Hammarby IF, 13-1.

7 May, 2004 Adventure Cup 2004, 6th round: Bekaert - Likenäs IK, Sweden 4-1 (4-0).
Bekaert had no problems with Likenäs in front of 890 attendences. Already in the 3rd minute, Eric Sjöö scored on a powerful longshot that sailed over the Likenäs' goalkeeper who has strayed too far away.
Bekaert had the match where they wanted, making no mistakes. Paul Bolander scored twice and Joel Amor once, all in the first half.
Likenäs only goal came in the 86th minute, when Bekaert players already thought of the next round.
Bekaert will play away next round, against Swedish 6th division team Limping Dudes FC. The game is scheduled to Monday.

5 May, 2004 Adventure Cup 2004, 5th round: Bekaert - Falkarna, Sweden 2-0 (2-0).
Bekaert beat favourites 4th division team Falkarna, and what is even more sensational: No red cards this time! As earlier in this cup, Bekaert was never threatened to the happiness of the 888 spectators. Although the ball possession is in the guest's advantage, Bekaert had more scoring chances. Paul Bolander scored after half an hour of gameplay, and Joel Amor settled the game with an beautiful free kick just before half time. The second half became a long transport stretch without anything exciting happening.
In the 6th round, Bekaert will face division 5 team Likenäs IK at home. The game is scheduled to Friday the 7th.

4 May, 2004 Swedish King's Cup 2004, 1st round: Ättekulla FC - Bekaert 1-0 (0-0).
A new cup, and a new loss. It seems as if Bekaert advances through the first round in a cup, the team can go really far. Unfortunately, this was not such a cup. 759 spectators witnessed Mikael Wallin getting a thigh strain after only 15 minutes, and he was forced to leave the pitch. The game was scoreless in the first 90 minutes, before extra time with "Golden Goal" started. After 106 minutes, just before the whistle for the first extra time period, Ättekulla tried Eric Holmberg with a long shot, that went past Eric just beside the left post. Game over.
The reports from the physician is that Mikael will be back into play tomorrow in the Adventure Cup game against Falkarna.

3 May, 2004 Adventure Cup 2004, 4th round: Klocke IF, Sweden - Bekaert 0-2 (0-1).
Bekaert continues to win in Adventure Cup. Today the 7th division team Klocke IF got beaten by Bekaert who ended the game with only ten players on the pitch once again, since Henrik Håkansson received red card in the 79th minute. By then the game was already decided. Paul Bolander scored in the first attack after only 2 minutes, and Klocke never got any hold of the opponents. When Lino Tello increased the lead in the second half, the match was over. Bekaert could play a safe game for the rest of the time, and Klocke was never a threat. 878 spectators saw the Bekaert win today.
The draw to the next round is already done. Bekaert will be hosting the game against Swedish division 4 team Falkarna. Bekaert has met Falkarna in the K-1 League friendly league, where the teams won the matches as guests. Hopefully Bekaert can put an end to this on Wednesday.

Current standings in div 5.139
League div 5.139, round 1: Wheelbridge Pioneers - Bekaert 1-4 (1-1)
Wheelbridge Pioneers was subject of a lot of discussions during last week, since they was set to be relegated but got a second chance by the administrators, due to teams in higher divisions being relegated to the bottom of the system. Bekaert players however didn't mind playing against Wheelbridge again though. 4-1 was final score that the Pioneers should be proud of, since it could have been much bigger numbers.
Bekaert's first scorer of the season surprisingly became Henrik Håkansson, who dribbled through the Wheelbridge defense in the 13th minute to give Bekaert the lead. Wheelbridge managed to keep up the game for the rest of the half, equalizing in the 28th minute.
In the second half, Bekaert sped up the play, and Wheelbridge had difficulties to hang on. Soon, the goals came. Lino Tello shot a longshot in the 50th minute, and then Joel Amor hit a perfect free kick, flying over the wall into the net between the goalie and the left post. Lino finished off the game in the 78th minute after a nice pass of Carl Åkerman, who replaced suspended Paul Bolander.
Three fresh points to Bekaert, which will be important in this league.

30 April, 2004 Adventure Cup 2004, 3rd round: Föne IFK, Sweden - Bekaert 1-5 (0-4).
Bekaert showed no mercy guesting 6th division team Föne IFK. Although Eskil Helström received a red card in the 26th minute when Bekaert was in the lead 3-0, the team continued an everlasting pressure against the home team's goal. 756 spectators saw Paul Bolander score three times and Lino Tello twice.
Next round is set to Monday 3rd of May, away at Klocke IF, a 7th division team from Sweden.

25 April, 2004 Adventure Cup 2004, 2nd round: Bekaert - club monos capuchinos, Argentina 6-0 (2-0).
Yesterday, Bekaert was out beaten in Vårruset 2004, today it was time for another postponed game. Bekaert had the privilige to enter Adventure Cup in the second round, against no seeders CMC, an Argentinian 7th division team. The match was a one-team-only game from kick-off. Bekaert had an enormeous pressure on CMC's keeper Romeo Cresconio, who made sure it was still draw until the 38th minute when Paul Bolander finally could score. Joel Amor scored on a free kick in the last moment of first half.
In the second half, Bekaert attacked even more, resulting in further one goal from Paul, before Lino Tello could score a real hat-trick; the last goal in the 2nd overtime minute! 801 spectators had found their way to Holy Roller to watch an entertaining, but rather superior team (36 scoring chances vs 2), Bekaert IF FF.

24 April, 2004 Vårruset 2004, 5th round: Grums United - Bekaert 3-0 (1-0).
Grums United, a newly promoted 5th division team, had no problems beating Bekaert 3-0 in the postponed fifth round of Vårruset 2004. The rain poured down, making it extremely tough to play quick technical football, and that obviously suited the home team better then Bekaert. Grums owned the game from start (1-0 in the 5th minute) to the end. Lino Tello was the only one who created chances in the green-and-white team, but without success. A game against a tactical better opponent. Bekaert ended at place 310 in the cup, not that bad for a 5th division club!

22 April, 2004 Friendly League updates: The last week has been full of different Friendly Leagues starting or ending. Here is an update of what is happening:
Månkarbo Open has come to an end, and Bekaert succeeded to get to the bronze medal position in the last round. An extreme effort by an extreme team! 16 teams participated, and no one could touch Cykelpojkarna as no 1 or hosts Månkarbo as second placed team.
K-I League has also ended, with Bekaert on a fair mid place of 14 participating teams. A weak beginning with a stronger end, but Bekaert management is hoping to climb higher next time, if this FL returns. The winner of this first K-1 is IFK Trelleborg, and the championship was not set until the last match.
Pimp Daddies V - Fab Five has started this week, Bekaert won the first two games without overexert themself. Bekaert has won both PD II and PD III, but finished on a disappointing third place last time. Currently in the lead this season is Porjus, the team Bekaert beat 7-0 just a couple of days ago in Månkarbo Open...
Also set to begin Real Soon Now (tm) is Clash of the Clans VI. Bekaert has competing in this tough league since season III, and although CotC V didn't become any success, we think that Bekaert may make top three this season. CotC official website can be reached through the Links page.

FL Månkarbo Open, Players of the week, Week 7: For the second week in a row, Bekaert players has been awarded some of the weekly prices by Månkarbo Open jury! Eric Holmberg received the price for best goalkeeper after only allowing two goals during last week's four games. Joel Amor also receives his second straight distinction as currently the best league defenseman, and also because of his scoring abilities.
Bekaert was (also for second week in a row) named Climber of the Week (6th to 4th) and Team of the Week (4 games, all wins, 21-2 in goals), thanks to beating up earlier 4th places team Porjus 7-0. That game became Game of the Week, ending this Bekaert-week in Månkarbo Open.
With only two more games to go, Bekaert have a small chance on the 3rd spot, but will probably end up 4th or 5th.

League div 5.139, round 14: Bekaert - Wheelbridge Pioneers 5-0 (1-0)
Lino Tello scored three goals, Paul Bolander and Joel Amor one each when Bekaert finished the season with a secure home win over to-be relegated Wheelbridge Pioneers.
But it did not look so secure the first minutes of the game. Wheelbridge had a dangerous free kick in the 3rd minute, which Eric Holmberg could turn into a corner kick, which (of course) became resultless. Lino Tello found goal the first time in the 25th minute, and after that it became an easy ride towards the final whistle. The only sensational occurance was when Paul Bolander received two yellow cards and was sent off.
7752 spectators witnessed this Bekaert victory, which gave the club a 3rd place in the league and 175 000 SEK in bonus.
The top game between Hälge Stars and DoomBringer FC ended with DoomBringer victory 3-1. DoomBringer will therefore play in the 4th division next season. Bekaert wants to congratulate DoomBringer FC for the league victory, and wish them all the best in the future.

18 April, 2004 PREGAME: League div 5.139, round 14: Bekaert - Wheelbridge Pioneers
at 12:00, Holy Roller Stadium

Bekaert will host the game against Wheelbridge Pioneers, a game which only have academic interest. Both team has set their series for the next season; Bekaert will finish as 3rd or 4th, and the Pioneers will be 6th team in the division, which means that they are set for div 6th next season.
Bekaert will have to manage without attacking midfielder Henrik Håkansson, who pulled a red card in last game against DoomBringer. Instead, Jon Haström or perhaps Carl Åkerman will take Henrik's position.

Earlier meetings between the teams:
This season:
18 Jan 2004: Wheelbridge - Bekaert 1-5
Last season:
12 Oct 2003: Wheelbridge - Bekaert 0-1
28 Dec 2003: Bekaert - Wheelbridge 3-0

15 April, 2004 Vårruset 2004, 4th round: Bekaert - Nanne FC 6-0 (4-0).
Bekaert comfortably beat 6th division team Nanne FC in the fourth round of Vårruset 2004. Paul Bolander scored twice, and Lino Tello found goal four times. The game was decided after only twelve minutes of playing, when Bekaert hold the lead 3-0. Eric Sjöö received a yellow card, but since this was his first in this cup, he will play in the next round.
In the fifth round, Bekaert will play away against Grums United, a top 6th division team that will play in the 5th division next season. A tough game is ahead!

FL Månkarbo Open, Players of the week, Week 6: Bekaert almost drew jackpot when the players of week 6 was elected in FL Månkarbo Open. Eric Holmberg, who didn't allow one goal during the four games, was named Goalie of the Week. Joel Amor received the award for Defender of the Week, and both Lino Tello and Paul Bolander was named as candidates for Forward of the Week, although none of them did receive the award.
Bekaert was named both Climber of the Week (from 9th to 6th) and Team of the Week (4 games, all wins, 18-0 in goals). Congratulations to ourselves. :)
Manager Stoffisimo says in a brief statement: "We are proud to get this kind of recognition from the Månkarbo Open administration. It feels good and it gives ourselves extra confidence. Although we can't reach the top spots, our aim is to climb further upwards the last few games."

Månkarbo Open website can be reached through the Links page.

13 April, 2004 Vårruset 2004, 3rd round: Bekaert - FC Kickers 4-0 (3-0).
7th division team FC Kickers did not stand a chance when Bekaert received the guests with pressure immidiately after kick-off. Paul Bolander scored twice, Lino Tello one and Henrik Håkansson did a beautiful run through the Kickers defense which resulted in a goal. We are now anxiously awaiting the draw for the 4th round.
UPDATE: Bekaert will be playing Nanne FC, a 6th division team currently leading their division. The game is scheduled at Holy Roller Stadium at 14:00 April 15th.

League div 5.139, round 13: DoomBringer FC - Bekaert 3-3 (1-3).
Bekaert drawed against league leader DoomBringer away last Sunday, a result that DoomBringer should be most happy about. Paul Bolander scored the first goal already in the 4th minute, and it looked like it would be an easy win until the referee randomly decided to show midfielder Henrik Håkansson the red card in the 20th minute. After that, Bekaert continued to dominate the first half, but in the second the players went tired quickly.
Paul Bolander scored twice for Bekaert, and Joel Amor once, directly from a free kick.

10 April, 2004 Heggert, Svensson leaving Bekaert. In a press release today, Bekaert announced that sale of Johan Heggert and Wilhelm Svensson. Johan has signed a new contract with Danish 5th division club Risgaarde, which will be relegated to 6th division. The transfer sum is 604 602 SEK.
Wilhelm was sold to Swedish 6th division team IK Bromidros. Bromidros is leading their division, and is only one point away from promotion. Wilhelm is already listed as starting in the top game against Partyfixarnas IF tomorrow. When the bidding process ended, the price tag on Wilhelm was 3 875 014 SEK, making it the clubs third most expensive sell so far.
Bekaert IF FF wishes both players all the best in the future!

9 April, 2004 New friendly leagues. This Monday, Bekaert will start in two new friendy leagues, *Big Dipper Cup* and FA League.
Big Dipper Cup consists of 16 team of different quality. We believe that Bekaert will be among the top teams, and a place between 1-5 is not too optimistic.
FA League is a league only for Forum Assistants. Also this league consists of 16 team, where only three of them is Swedish. This is truly an international league, and the competition is strong. We believe however that the three Swedish team will end on the first three spots, and Bekaert may take home this cup.

Heggert, Wilhelm Svensson on the transfer list. Following a lot of speculation, Bekaert manager today release the information. Johan Heggert and Wilhelm Svensson was both put on the transfer list. Stoffisimo stated on the press conference that he had too many attackers in the club: "Let's face it, Johan will never make the starting line up in Bekeart. However, his potential is great, and he will find playing time in the lower divisions. Wilhelm is a promising player who will make impact on his new team right away. Unfortunately for him, our depth at the attacker positions is too big, and Wilhelm deserves playing time." It is rumoured that Wilhelm Svensson can't gain more on shooting. Both Heggert and Svensson has played in Bekaert since their youth time. Both player's transfer deadline is tomorrow night.

8 April, 2004 Vårruset 2004, 2nd round: Örgryte IS - Bekaert 0-4 (0-2).
Lino Tello scored 3 goals, and Paul Bolander 1 when Bekaert advanced to the 3rd round in Vårruset 2004.
The "experts" where sure before the game: Bekaert would not manage to beat the 3rd division team Örgryte. Luckily, Bekaert's players did not listen to them. Bekaert was the better team the whole game, even if Örgryte had some chances.
Justin Wojton received two yellow cards and was sent out in the 58th minute. It didn't stop the green and white guests, who continued to keep the ball in the team.
Next game in Vårruset will be on Tuesday against FC Kickers at Holy Roller Stadium. FC Kickers is playing in 7th division, and beat another division 7-team today.

6 April, 2004 Vårruset 2004. Today the new cup Vårruset 2004 is starting with round 1. Many fans has sent in mails asking why Bekaert doesn't participate in this cup. The answer is: We are participating! We are just seeded, and will enter the cup in stage 2, on Thursday.

League div 5.139, round 12: Bekaert - Svanesund BF 10-0 (5-0).
Earlier this year, Svanesund took their only points in a spectacular win against then league-favourites Bekaert thanks to a penalty that was all but fair. Mikael Wallin got a red card, and in the following game against Lidingö (loss 0-1) he was suspended and Bekaert never had a chance after losing those six points.
Today 7789 ecstatic fans witnessed when Bekaert displayed a whole other game compared to those fateful games. The 10-0 victory was on the small side, and five or six more goals could've been expected, if not opponent keeper Niklas Månsson had been so good.
Lino Tello started the scoring in the 2nd minute, after gathering a rebound on a shot from himself. Lino continued to score four (4!) more goals in the first half, before deciding to split the stats with Paul Bolander. Paul scored the first four goals in the second half, before Lino could end the humiliation in the 90th minute.
Unfortunately, this won't be enough in the long run. Both teams above Bekaert also won their games.
This is the biggest win for Bekaert since September 22 2002, where Bekaert won 13-1 against Hammarby IF in div 6.571.

28 March, 2004 Penalty save Christoffer Säf's [91] penalty hits the post, and Eric Holmberg [1] gets the rebound. Gamewinning goal
Lino Tello [7] places the ball into the empty net.
League div 5.139, round 11: Lidingö Hills - Bekaert 0-1 (0-0).
Lino Tello showed why Bekaert management spent over 12M SEK, when he scored the only goal in today's game against Lidingö Hills. The game started with action right ahead. In the 3rd minute, Lidingö got an easy penalty, but sent in into the post, and the ball was picked up by Eric Holmberg without any problems. Lidingö continued their pressure for about 10 minutes, before Bekaert started playing their own game. Bekaert had a total of 35 shots, 24 on goal, all saved until the 80th minute, where Lino Tello could send his own rebound into an empty net. Bekaert was the strongest team in this game without any doubt. Unfortunately, the teams ahead of Bekaert also won. There is still a six point gap to leader DoomBringer FC, and since DoomBringer has an outstanding goaldifference, the chances are minimal for Bekaert to win this division.

24 March, 2004 The last month, Bekaert has been losing against teams they normally win. Many of the players have complained that they have have too many games per week and that they are tired. Today, Bekaert manager Stoffisimo told us that he has been creating a new, more individual schedule for the double friendies. Apparently this is starting to pay back. Stoffisimo said that "the players are getting stronger for each week, and we will continue with this work to make sure that all players, at least in the first team, should be in absolutely the best condition they can be".

24 March, 2004 Games of yesterday, a post-game analysis.
As we believed before the game, it would be hard to beat Bajenland Fotboll. Bajenland won 4-0 without problems, while Bekaert only had one chance in the whole game. Bekaert is of course still last in the FL.
The game against CSKA Bullerbyn ended 8-1 to Bekaert and Lino Tello scored 5 goals. Bullerbyn's only goal came on a penalty. Bekaert has now scored more goals then they have allowed in Månkarbo Open.
The double friendlies against Cykelpojkarna VS ended with losses in both games.

22 March, 2004 Games of tomorrow, a pre-match analysis. From time to time, we are going to take a closer look at the opponents Bekaert is meeting. Today, we take a look at opponents of tomorrow, two FL opponents and one friendly double.
Pittsburgh Challenge 6th Edition, Bajenland Fotboll (away).
Bajenland Fotboll, with manager Guldputte, are currently ranked at place 222. Bajenland plays in div 2.1 where they currently are on second place, five points behind the promotion spot. They have not been too successful in PC6E, and is only keeping a 6th place, 16 points behind leading Libido Social Club.
Bekaert has still not won a game in this FL, drawing recent cup finalist Sveasund 2-2 earlier today. That was actually Bekaert's first point in this high competition league! In the first meeting, Bekaert lost 0-5 after only possessing the ball a third of the time... We think that manager Stoffisimo is happy if the team only loses by three or less goals.
Månkarbo Open, CSKA Bullerbyn (away).
Månkarbo Open has been a huge disappointment for Bekaert management. Only on a 9th spot after 13 games, 23 points behind leading Cykelpojkarna doesn't make anyone in the Bekaert camp happy. However, here we have a 100% 3-pointer. Bullerbyn has only scored 3 times, allowing 82 goals in their 13 games. 0 points, and also on relegation spot in div 6.293. If Bekaert doesn't win this, the website staff is promising to walk home all the way from Bullerbyn!
Double header, Cykelpojkarna VS (away/home).
Bekaert will play away at 11.00, then at home at 19.00. Manager Stoffisimo is letting 8 players from the youth squad play, together with 3 of the reserves in both games.
Don't expect that Bekaert will win any of these games, Cykelpojkarna is always hard to beat, even in those friendlies.

22 March, 2004 Today, the new link section opened. If you feel we are missing some links, please let us know.

21 March, 2004 Picture from match Paul Bolander [27], gamewinning scorer. League div 5.139, round 10: Bekaert - Real Borås 1-0 (0-0).
A narrow win made Bekaert advance from 5th to 3rd place, but the difference is still 6 points to league leader DoomBringerFC, and 8 points to 6th placed Wheelbridge Pioneers. 7753 spectators saw Bekaert dominate through out the game, but the attackers seemed unable to place the ball behind visiting goalkeeper Allan Ugla, plenty of shots went outside, and a couple was reflected to corner kicks. We wish them all the best in the future. The attendence was 791 at Holy Roller stadium on this windy, cold day.

It was a tight game where Bekaert played defensively and only counter-attacked.
